On Page Vs Off Page

You may of may not have heard of the terms on or off page when it comes to social media.

These different pages can be crucial to how your brand is seen by existing or potential consumers.

On Page

This is where your consumers would land if they are to type you @brand into Instagram or even Facebook (Your feed).

Think about your feed right now, if I was to go there what would I see? Do you have images and content in-line with your brand values and colours or do you just "post for the sake of posting"?

Is this where you announce your sales?

On Page should tell your brand story (who you are, what your brand stands for and be consistent in theme).

A few tips for On-page would be:

1. DON"T PROMOTE SALES ON YOUR FEED

If a potential customer looks at your feed and scrolls through and can see numerous sales this can actually de value your brand or they may choose to wait to purchase as they are sure there will be a sale coming up soon..

If you are promoting sales, we will discuss this in Off-page.

2. BE CONSISTENT

Make sure that images, colours, videos, gifs that you use all align with your brand, this will ensure a strong brand presence and make your brand be seen as authentic. A consumer should be able to see a message or image and think "oh this must be @you"

3. REMEMBER YOUR FEED IS EVERGREEN

Think before you post on your feed. Will you care if this post is seen in 6 months or 3 years? Would you still stand by this post? If not maybe Off-page is the way to go!

OFF-PAGE

This is essentially known as "stories" and this is where you can be a little more creative and content does not have to perfectly match your brand identity as stories will be deleted after 24 hours.

A few tips for Off-Page would be

1. BE CREATIVE

This is where you can show your followers that you can be quite quirky when it comes to the world around.

2. PROMOTE

This is where you can promote as all sales will not be directly seen 6 months down the track (do not get me wrong, you can still have promotions "On-page" but the details will be in the text not the image so you are still keeping your brand theme and not looking like a discount brand)

3. FEEDBACK

Ask for feedback here, find out what it is that your followers want from your brand. This will help ensure content on your feed is constantly adapting to meet your followers needs.

So just to finish off. ON-PAGE >EVERGREEN & OFF-PAGE > #GOCRAZYGIRL
